OCR INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY
LEVELS 1,2 & 3
THESE QUALIFICATIONS ARE AIMED AT THE
FOLLOWING CLIENT GROUPS:
- People in employment interested in being certificated
against national standards.
- People in training - whether full or part-time; people
wishing to re-enter employment who would like to have
previous achievements certificated.
Candidates can enter the framework at the level
most relevant to their particular needs or situation. This means
that they could enter at Level 2 without being certificated for
Level 1, if they are already working or studying to a Level 2
standard.
Briefly the Levels that are offered are as follows:-
- The Using Information Technology - Level 1 award is
designed primarily for those performing routine functions
in an automated environment under instruction, and within
clearly defined parameters in either a network or
standalone environment.
- The Using Information Technology - Level 2 award is
designed primarily for those performing complex tasks
within their own area of responsibility, in either a
network or standalone environment.
- The Controlling Use of Information Technology - Level 3
award is designed for those taking control of their won
area of responsibility including supervising others, in
either a network or standalone environment.
