MODERN APPRENTICESHIPS

ADMINISTRATION

Modern Apprenticeships offer a quality alternative route to further education. The advantage being the opportunity of gaining paid employment whilst undertaking training. You need to be a high calibre young person with the potential to achieve National Vocational Qualifications (NVQ) Level 3 and beyond. You need to have 4 GCSE passes at a minimum grade C (including English Language or Literature) or equivalent.

The employers are a key part of the design of the Administration Modern Apprenticeship. Employers may have their own specific requirements.

BROAD PRINCIPLES

• The achievement of an NVQ at Level 3 with NVQ Level 2 en route.
• Development of Core Skills (communication, application of numbers, IT personal skills).
• Gain knowledge of the Company and employer which includes: business strategy, health and safety, finance, marketing and personnel.
• Can develop additional units like Customer Service, Accounting and foreign languages.

The Administration Modern Apprenticeship was developed by the Local Government Management Board with TEC's, Employers and Government.
