Gruff, Danielle and all the Staff offer you a warm welcome

THE GRAPES HOTEL, is a 17th century "Coaching Inn", although an ancient cellar dates back to the 13th Century. This Grade II Listed Building is set in the picturesque village of Maentwrog which nestles in the beautiful Vale of Ffestiniog, the heart of the Snowdonia National Park.

'The Grapes' is chronicled in George Burrow's book "Wild Wales" where he entered ... "A magnificent parlour and partook of Brandy and water". Possibly the same parlour regularly visited by the great statesman Lloyd George, and Lilley Langtry took tea on separate occasions we believe. It is believed that 'The Grapes' has ghosts... sometimes a little old lady in Victorian clothing is said to appear downstairs ... just long enough to frighten the kitchen staff plumb rigid!

For nearly three centuries the Grapes has been renowned for its Ales, Homefare, Hospitality and Accommodation which is still maintained to this day.  For nearly three centuries the Grapes has been renowned for it's Fine Ales and Homefare, warm Hospitality, and Accommodation which is still maintained to this day.
