What does it look
like?
The season starts on both Lakes Padarn
and Cwellyn on 3rd March. Of the two lakes Padarn should be
fished first. From this early start Charr are fished for from the
bank. Favourite areas being the eastern shore, being the lakeside
railway side.
The fish at this time are very silvery, but are easily
distinguished from the silvery brown trout which abound in both
lakes. As the season progresses into August, charr starts to take
on it's Autumn colouring - this is when it is the most stricking
game fish in these islands.
